Information about the Agricultural Leadership (AL) Community
Agricultural Leadership Residential Learning Community is through the College of Agricultural Sciences (CAS) and is focused on supporting first-year and first-generation students. This seminar highlights student-focused high-impact practices, showcases CAS programs, supports students in developing their unique leadership journey at CSU, and centers influential historical identities in agriculture. Students have service learning opportunities and linked course opportunities with CO 150 (composition) in special sections focused on natural resource, food, energy, and water issues.
All College of Agricultural Sciences RLC students participate in professional development experiences to expand their knowledge and skills and take part in service-learning and career exploration in their chosen fields of study. At the start of the fall semester, RLC students take part in a common reading and participate in programming at the CSU Agricultural Research and Education Center (ARDEC). Throughout the academic year, there are special opportunities for engagement such at ag-focused events.
More information on community requirements and how to apply can be found on the Learning Communities site.
